FEATURE LISTING: Hyde Park home is a winner

It is the stunning house that thousands of South Australians dreamed of owning when they bought tickets in the recent Hospital Research Foundation Group home lottery. With the lucky grand prize winner opting to take the prize money instead of the home, this incredible new build has hit the market and it could be your dream come true.

Many South Australians will recognise the property at 44 Park Street, Hyde Park with its magnificent contemporary facade, luxurious chevron-patterned timber floors and sparkling swimming pool.

The home has been gracing the state’s television screens as one of the top prizes for The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF) Home Lottery, which offers one lucky winner the choice between the $5 million property or $4.5 million in cash.

When the ballot was drawn on October 5, the winner, Daniel from Grange, chose the prize money.

Now, a new saga begins and we all want to know: who will be the lucky person to take the home at auction?

Hyde Park premium property

Bronte Manuel and Kirk Fernandez of TOOP+TOOP have taken on THRF as a commission-free partner and are eager to put their sales skills towards the cause.

“As they’re a charity, charging typical commercial rates just didn’t sit right with me, so I told them we would cover all the costs,” Bronte says.

THRF uses funds raised through donations, fundraising, corporate donations and lottery ticket purchases to fund world-class medical research, improve care in hospitals and provide better treatments for South Australia.

So far this year, the foundation has funded a six-month pilot for a mental health paramedic to work in the SA Ambulance Service’s Triple Zero Emergency Centre, held three pop-up skin cancer clinics in the regions, progressed research in diseases including cancer, heart disease and arthritis, and funded brain surgery equipment at Flinders Medical Centre.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury home chosen by THRF as the top prize property was custom built by Klemm Homes in 2022 on a sizeable corner allotment a short walk from the King William Road precinct.

Through the entrance of the two-storey home, a large home theatre sits to the left, offering an ideal space to entertain guests and keep the kids busy on rainy weekends.

To the right is the grand master suite – an ideal parents’ retreat with a beautiful bedroom flaunting floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the manicured front yard.

“The lavish master suite is impressive in size, offering his-and-her walk-in robes flowing through to the sumptuous ensuite with a stand-alone bath, rainfall shower head and double vanities,” Bronte says. “It is the perfect retreat at the end of the day.”

The heart of the home is the open-plan family room with a large living and dining space boasting a gas fireplace as a cosy spot during winter and floor-to-ceiling windows.

“The gleaming state-of-the-art kitchen features an abundance of cabinetry, with an oversized Essastone island bench and quality Miele appliances including integrated fridge and freezer,” Bronte says.

“The walk-in pantry overlooks the outdoor kitchen, providing an abundance of storage and the wine room under the stairs is both aesthetically pleasing and the perfect space to store the cherished collection.”

The family room opens to the sparkling in-ground swimming pool and outdoor dining area which is ideal for hosting friends and family on warm, summer nights while the manicured lawns offer plenty of space for the kids and their furry friends to run amok.

The home comes fully furnished so the new owner can walk straight in and make the property their home, with Bronte saying the only thing better than the ease of the move is the location itself.

“It is ideally located in arguably one of Adelaide’s best Eastern suburbs, a short stroll to the endless culinary delights and shopping boutiques along King William Road and a short drive to Unley Road, Unley Shopping Centre, Burnside Village and the Parade,” he says.

“It is also zoned for Unley Primary School and Unley High School and only a short drive to prestigious schools including Walford, Mercedes and Scotch College.”

The sale is being handled by Bronte Manuel and Kirk Fernandez of TOOP+TOOP.
